Capitol Hill High School would like to formally request some help in financing new Walkie Talkies/Radios for our daily communications between the front office and our administration, and our emergency management when it comes to Parent Reunification in the case of an emergency. We have 5 buildings at CHHS, and our Administration Team is often in different areas of the campus throughout the day. The use of Walkie Talkies are vital to our communication, not only with each other, but with the front office in case of an emergency in a classroom. During the 2nd semester, we contracted with Chickasaw Communications to test a new version of Walkie Talkie that utilized a repeater to enhance the signal to cover our entire campus. They worked tremendously well, but they were very costly. We petitioned the district to allow us to pay for it with our Title 1 Funds, but were denied. We are looking for financial donations to cover the cost of the purchase and install so our students and faculty can be safe for the upcoming school year.
